Amazon’s New Kindle Fire Tablets Alleged to be 3X the Speed of Current Editions

kindle-fireReports are saying the much anticipated next-gen Kindle tablets are going to knock other competitors out of the park; even when comparing Amazons previous lineup of Kindles! Due to release three new models this fall, specs have been the talk of the town so far. As preliminary runs go, the devices have triple the amount of speed! In addition, if current hearsay from “multiple trusted sources” is accurate, the tablets specs may match some of the preceding generations.

Prototype models so far include 7 inch and 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HD versions, which will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip, most powerful chip from this company, which is revs up to about 2GHz! The 7 inch model will have 1,920 x 1,200 display, 2GB RAM, other storage options from 16 to 64GB, Wi-Fi, a front-facing camera, and optional cellular LTE connectivity. The 8.9 inch model is not much different, but with a display of 2,560 x 1,600 and an added 8 mega-pixel rear facing camera. Lastly they will continue to run on Android, with 4.2.2 Jelly Bean this time around.

kindle2Not much surprise here, but with all of these improved properties the tablets are also alleged to be thinner and lighter. Due to the advanced rumors in store, sources are tempted to say the products sound perfect. Even more exciting, if Amazon decides to maintain the former price-tags of $199 and $299 it is foreseen these Amazon tablets will be rough competition for Google's Nexus 7. While the Nexus 7 held up the low price of $229 and high screen resolution, what it didn't have was the powerful Snapdragon 800 chip! So if all of this is true, it is obvious who will get the upper hand here. Most importantly, with a screen and interface as gorgeous as it sounds, and an impressive media set-up, one could say the next generation of the Kindle Fire is going to be a winner.
