Most of our orders are from repeat customers. Parts-People began as a small company 20 years ago in an extra bedroom of my house. I had saved a small sum of money to purchase some computer parts and began selling them on eBay. After a few months I realized that people needed a place to go for Dell parts so I began building our website. Since we are located in Austin, Texas, where Dell.com was founded, I was able to set up a solid supply line with Dell. From the start, we focused on customer satisfaction and selling quality parts. We have grown a lot since 2002 but still and always the customer will come first. You will find that we go above and beyond with every order and offer free resources and support before and after the sale.

over 2 million Dell parts sold
As the needs and demands of the PC industry continue to change, it was no surprise to hear that Dell was branching out into other markets. Most notably as of late, they have been making headlines for their endeavors in the world of Ultra HD 4K monitors, announcing last week that they planned to unveil “the most affordable Ultra HD monitor in the industry” in early 2014. 4K technology is certainly not new – Sony actually claims to have “ignited the 4K revolution in 2001 with the very first commercial 4K digital projectors used in movie theaters around the world”, and has since included the technology in their lines of cameras and monitors as well. However, for the most part 4K technology has remained out of reach to most consumers working on the average American budget – Dell plans to change that. Dell currently offers the most complete array of Ultra HD monitors in the industry. Unlike other companies in the 4K market, they have designed several models in order to meet the demands of varied professional and consumer demographics. Currently they offer UltraSharp Ultra HD monitors in 32- and 24-inch size options, both boasting nearly identical specs. For starters, you’re looking at a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. The math on that doesn’t lie – these monitors are packing 8 million pixels, compared to the roughly 2 million pixels delivered by a typical HDTV. In an even more solid move by Dell, the monitor’s 3-year warranty includes a “Premium Pixel Guarantee”. This assures buyers that if even one single pixel of those 8 million starts acting up, Dell will swap out the display for you. Talk about peace of mind! As far as ports go, both models come standard with HDMI, DisplayPort, mimi-DisplayPort, four USB 3.0 ports and a 6-in-1 media card reader. Presently, their 32-inch monitor will set you back $3,500, while the 24-inch model becomes available worldwide on December 16th with a starting price tag of $1399. But let’s get to the best news of all. Dell has announced an addition to their line of 4K monitors with the upcoming Dell 28 Ultra HD monitor. While it packs an impressive line of nearly-identical specs as the UltraSharp 24 and UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD monitors, this 28-inch version will be available for under $1,000. It is an energy efficient monitor with multiple input ports and adjustability features, including the ability to pivot to portrait mode and multi-task applications. Dell has really hit a soft spot with consumers on this one, offering the same “Premium Pixel Guarantee” as its heftier models at a far more affordable price point. They envision video editors, CGI animators, game developers, and “consumers seeking incredible onscreen clarity for entertainment applications” to be potential customers for their latest display breakthrough. Although at under $1,000, Dell has likely opened doors for a large sect of high-resolution enthusiasts who previously thought 4K was an out of reach option for them.
