NSA Spies on Online Gamers: WOW, Xbox Live, Second Life | Red Headed Geek Show Rant

Looks like while the National Security Analyst was ready to brief his superiors, he decided to pull yet another pathetic excuse for spying out from his sleeve. His sleeves must be digusting, full of filth! The NSA and other spy agencies are hacking into and spying on our Second Life, Final Fantasy, WOW, and Xbox Live gaming. They truly must think there is something to find here. This idea isn't new, but thanks to our lovely Edward Snowden's documents, it appears the spies are not missing a single hallway. The massive communities playing MMOS and online games are now infiltrated because "targets of threat are lurking". At least that is what they are calling gamers.

It's obvious that the agency’s current arsenal of wire tapping and hacking efforts are inadequate, as if they haven't been trying hard enough they needed a spycraft to catch more "criminals and terrorists". I find it absolutely pathetic, yet not shocking what-so-ever. Do you? The things gamers talk about online involve nothing less than "trash talk", gaming, or nothing at all! Therefore, I hope these agencies have a fantastic time going through years of chat records, private or not, because it is very unlikely they will find anything suspicious. Another thing they are claiming to be weary of is the fact that online gaming sometimes involves pretend monetary exchanges, use IP channels to voice chat and some have "guild-only" access. Who cares? It is all part of the gaming industry to incorporate these features.

Everything try, every attempt the NSA, CIA, GCHQ (British Government Communications Headquarters, etc) is yet another pathetic excuse to breach any ounce of privacy a human has left. Humans will be humans and do bad things if they want to. However, going above and beyond severing privacy makes them that much more pathetic.

I welcome any comments or thoughts you have on this topic. Now, off to online gaming I go! I am not afraid!
