Look out Android fans! Look out lovers of photography! A very unique and unusual new smartphone experience is available for the taking! Both American and European tech enthusiasts seem very excited, as they have been anticipating getting their hands on Oppo's latest phone. Just two months after the company announced this high-end device, it's here, retailing from $599 to $649. The big identifier of the Oppo N1 is it's rotating 13 Mp camera. However, that isn't the only distinct characteristic that separates this device from others. The Oppo company wanted to innovate their design approach to both the hardware and software.

“Innovation in smartphones has stopped. Every year, smartphones become slightly faster, with slightly larger screens, and get slight design changes. These things have been confused with innovation. With the N1, we threw away all the preconceptions.”

The version of Android it runs is Oppo's very own version, Color. With a whopping 5.9 inch, 1920 x 1080 IPS display (377 PPI), the Oppo N1 is actually a phablet. It runs a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB RAM, 16 to 32 GB of storage, a generous 3610 mAh battery, and weighs in at 213 grams. The phablet is certainly packed, but the camera has the biggest capabilities. With 13 Megapixels, the camera is capable of 4128 x 3096 pixel shots with 16 million colors. It features auto-focus, dual-LED, rotating lens, touch focus, face detection, panorama, geo-tagging, HDR and exposure up to 8 seconds long.

Twisting the camera module automatically turns the camera on, it rotates an amazing 206 degrees and securely locks in place at any angle. This means a secondary camera shot can finally be just as nice looking as a front-facing camera shot! Within the camera are 6 physical lenses an an f/2.0 aperture, allowing for clear-as-day shots even in the dark. The camera's boot up time is a mere .6 seconds, making an impromptu point-n-shoot a breeze. That and the long exposure time of 8 seconds means the photos can turn out looking extremely professional.

You can put the back panel of the phone to better use with O-Touch, a 12 cm square rear touch panel used for scrolling, tapping and controlling the camera shutter. O-Click, another unique feature, allows for remote control of the camera, where you can set it up on a tripod and line up for that perfect shot. O-Click can also be used to locate your misplaced device by setting off an alarm if within 50 meters (via Bluetooth).

Available for purchase right now, choose either the 16 or 32 GB version and you are still going to spend big. But the high-end features are a pretty big deal, so it may be worth your hard-earned stack of cash. Finally, Oppos also plans to offer a limited edition N1 CyanogenMod Edition, preloaded with both CyanogenMod ROM and an additional protective case and stickers.
