  • 1 x small phillips head screwdriver
  • 1 x small plastic scribe

Installation and Removal Instructions
XPS 17-L702X (P09E002) LCD Web Camera

Slide the battery latch over.

Step 1

  • Slide the battery latch over.
  • Remove the Battery.
Slide the battery latch over.Remove the Battery.
Loosen the screw.

Step 2

Loosen the screw.Remove the Access Door.
Remove the screw.

Step 3

Remove the screw.Slide the DVD Optical Drive out of the laptop.
Remove the 3 screws under the optical drive.

Step 4

  • Remove the 3 screws under the optical drive.
  • Press the plastic retainer in the optical drive bay.
Remove the 3 screws under the optical drive.Press the plastic retainer in the optical drive bay.
Remove the bottom display screws.

Step 5

  • Remove the bottom display screws.
Turn the laptop over and open it up.

Step 6

  • Turn the laptop over and open it up.
  • Unsnap the palmrest and turn it over.
  • Unplug the palmrest cables.
  • Remove the Palmrest Touchpad.
Turn the laptop over and open it up.Unsnap the palmrest and turn it over.
Lift the keyboard up and turn it over.

Step 7

  • Lift the keyboard up and turn it over.
  • Unplug the keyboard cables.
  • Remove the Keyboard.
Unplug the antenna cables.

Step 8

Unplug the antenna cables.Remove the screw.Remove the Wireless WLAN Card.
Loosen the display cable screw.

Step 9

  • Loosen the display cable screw.
  • Unplug the display cable.
Loosen the display cable screw.Unplug the display cable.
Remove the left hinge screws.

Step 10

Remove the left hinge screws.Remove the right hinge screws.Remove the LCD Display Assembly.
Lift up the edge of the bezel and unsnap it around the screen.

Step 11

  • Lift up the edge of the bezel and unsnap it around the screen.
  • Remove the LCD Display Bezel.
Remove the top rail screws.

Step 12

  • Remove the top rail screws.
Remove the top rail screws.Remove the top rail screws.
Remove the bottom rail screws.

Step 13

  • Remove the bottom rail screws.
Remove the bottom rail screws. Remove the bottom rail screws.
Lift the screen up and turn it over.

Step 14

  • Lift the screen up and turn it over.
  • Unplug the camera cable.
  • Remove the LCD Web Camera.
Lift the screen up and turn it over.Unplug the camera cable.
