Most of our orders are from repeat customers. Parts-People began as a small company 20 years ago in an extra bedroom of my house. I had saved a small sum of money to purchase some computer parts and began selling them on eBay. After a few months I realized that people needed a place to go for Dell parts so I began building our website. Since we are located in Austin, Texas, where Dell.com was founded, I was able to set up a solid supply line with Dell. From the start, we focused on customer satisfaction and selling quality parts. We have grown a lot since 2002 but still and always the customer will come first. You will find that we go above and beyond with every order and offer free resources and support before and after the sale.

Aerofex, a company based in California, is ecstatic to start taking orders for the new Aero-X hoverbike; a half quadcopter, half motorcycle that looks like technology mixed with Star Wars. The engine, powered by three 240 horsepower, three-rotor, rotary engines running on gasoline makes the Aero-X capable of carrying 310 lbs. It can reach speeds up to 45 mph, at an altitude of 12 feet; and with its vertical take off and landing ability (VTOL), can run for a good 85 minutes. Once the commercial prototype is finished, it is expected to weigh about 785 lbs due to its carbon-fiber chassis. Lastly, not only will you have to wait a few years to see these available, they will cost a whopping $85,000. Don’t get discouraged. Once you know what you can do with one of these things, you will think it’s worth it!
Aero-X has been in the making since 2007, where back then, the prototype looked like a pair of huge ducted fans, a frame, and seat. This hoverbike is built to be safe, easy to control, and of course, fun to ride. Despite something called the coupling effect, this craft isn’t unstable and finicky like other open-rotor rides. The reason it is described as a “hovercraft that rides like a motorcycle” isn’t merely to explain the hybrid, but to express how many different forces are necessary to be controlled and counteracted for it to ride this way.
The company is waiting on nine patents “toward achieving a motorized experience unlike any helicopter or airplane”; also to prove that Aerofex has solved the coupling problem. If so, this would make Aero-X the first safe hoverbike on the market. If anyone were lucky enough to drive/fly the Aero-X, they would expect it to drive with the power of a motorcycle, with the elevation of flying a hovercraft. Especially if you’re a fan of Star Wars, imagine zooming through “the forests of Endor”. But don’t stop there. Cruise over fields of green, beautiful deserts, and even lakes, and rivers. This could change the “riding” experience for people, opening up the possibilities for adventure. Beyond these uses, the company expects there to be other uses, such as military, police, and agricultural.
