Installation and Removal Instructions
Latitude E7440 Top Mouse Button & Keyboard

Slide the latch over and remove the battery.

Step 1

  • Slide the latch over and remove the battery.

Remove the screws (2 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 2

  • Remove the screws (2 x M2 x 3mm).
  • Slide the access door down and remove it form the laptop.
Remove the screws (2 x M2 x 3mm).Slide the access door down and remove it form the laptop.
Unplug the bottom cables.

Step 3

  • Unplug the bottom cables.
  • Remove the bottom keyboard screws (2 x M2 x 5mm).
Unplug the bottom cables.Remove the bottom keyboard screws (2 x M2 x 5mm).
Remove the keyboard bezel.

Step 4

  • Remove the keyboard bezel.

Remove the mouse button screws (2 x M2x2.5mm).

Step 5

  • Remove the mouse button screws (2 x M2x2.5mm).
  • Remove the mouse buttons.
Remove the mouse button screws (2 x M2x2.5mm).Remove the mouse buttons.
Remove the keyboard screws (3 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 6

  • Remove the keyboard screws (3 x M2 x 3mm).
  • Remove the keyboard.
