Most of our orders are from repeat customers. Parts-People began as a small company 20 years ago in an extra bedroom of my house. I had saved a small sum of money to purchase some computer parts and began selling them on eBay. After a few months I realized that people needed a place to go for Dell parts so I began building our website. Since we are located in Austin, Texas, where Dell.com was founded, I was able to set up a solid supply line with Dell. From the start, we focused on customer satisfaction and selling quality parts. We have grown a lot since 2002 but still and always the customer will come first. You will find that we go above and beyond with every order and offer free resources and support before and after the sale.

In honor of AMD's '30 years of graphics' celebration day, which the company broadcast live via Twitch on Saturday, AMD has announced the release of a new mid-range graphics card. Designed to allow gamers to play “PC games at maximum detail”, the new Radeon R9 285 offers up to 3.29 teraFLOPS of computing performance, at clock speed up to 918MHz. The hardware giant is expected to unveil Radeon R9 285 on September 2, priced at only $249 (USD MSRP).
As the successor to Radeon R9 280 graphics card, Radeon R9 285 will utilize the Tonga Pro GPU system, positioned between the 2GB R9 270 / 270X series and the 2GB R9 280X card. Gaming enthusiasts will be happy to enjoy their recently released PC games with the best performance ever, as it is touted to surpass Nvidia GTX 760 in execution and detail. Like R9 280, R9 285 packs 1792 stream processors, 112 texture processors, and 32 ROP's. Put it all together and you get that 3.29 teraFLOPS of computing performance, as mentioned.
As Tom's Hardware points out, the “R9 285 is a 190-watt PCI Express 3.0 board, and requires a pair of six-pin power connectors”. This is considerably more power efficient than the 250 watts prevalent in all other cards in the R9 lineup. Typical of other R9 cards, it will offer a full length display port, two DVI outputs, and an HDMI port. In addition to the release of the new card, AMD plans to package new bundled games with the entire lineup of R9 cards. Although AMD says that it “designed it for a single purpose: to play demanding PC games at maximum detail better than any card in its class”, we will have to see how that claim holds up when gamers get their hands on it.
