Installation and Removal Instructions
Latitude E5440 USB / Wifi Catcher

Lift the battery out of the laptop.

Step 1

  • Slide the latches over.
  • Lift the battery out of the laptop.

Slide the optical drive out of the laptop.

Step 2

  • Remove the screw.
  • Slide the optical drive out of the laptop.

Remove the bottom base.

Step 3

  • Remove the screws.
  • Remove the bottom base.
  • Remove the bottom screws.

Unplug the antenna cables.

Step 4

  • Unplug the antenna cables.
Turn the laptop over and open it up.

Step 5

  • Remove the back hinge cover screws.
  • Turn the laptop over and open it up.
  • Remove the keyboard trim bezel.

Lift the keyboard up and unplug the cable.

Step 6

  • Remove the screws.
  • Lift the keyboard up and unplug the cable.
  • Remove the keyboard.

Remove the hinge covers.

Step 7

  • Remove the hinge cover screws.

  • Unplug the cables.
  • Remove the screws.
  • Unsnap & remove the palmrest.

Remove the cable bracket.

Step 9

  • Remove the bracket screws.
  • Remove the cable bracket.
  • Unplug and loosen the display cable.

Remove the display assembly.

Step 10

  • Remove the hinge screws.
  • Remove the display assembly.

  • Unplug the cable.

  • Remove the circuit board.
