  • 1 x small plastic scribe

Installation and Removal Instructions
Latitude XT2 LCD Cable

Slide the battery out of the laptop.

Step 1

  • Slide the latches over.
  • Slide the battery out of the laptop.

Step 2

  • Loosen the screws.
  • Remove the door.

Unplug the antenna cables.

Step 3

  • Unplug the antenna cables.
Remove the hinge cover.

Step 4

  • Remove the screws.
  • Remove the hinge cover.
Remove the hinge cover.Remove the screws.
Remove the rear hinge screws.

Step 5

  • Turn the laptop over.
  • Remove the rear hinge screws.
Using a flat head screwdriver or a scribe, pry up the hinge cover, starting on the right side and moving left.

Step 6

  • Open the laptop.
  • Using a flat head screwdriver or a scribe, pry up the hinge cover, starting on the right side and moving left.

Carefully lift the keyboard up & unplug the keyboard cables.

Step 7

  • Remove the screws.

Loosen the antenna cables.

Step 8

  • Unplug the display cable.
  • Loosen the antenna cables.

Remove the display assembly.

Step 9

  • Remove the bottom hinge screws.
  • Remove the display assembly.

Remove the screws on the bottom of the screen.

Step 10

  • Remove the screw covers.
  • Remove the screws on the bottom of the screen.

Unsnap the bezel, working you way around the screen.

Step 11

  • Remove the screws on both sides of the screen.
  • Unsnap the bezel, working you way around the screen.
  • The bezel is glued down, it will be difficult to pry up. You might need to slide a scribe under the edge of the bezel to get it started.

Unplug the cables.

Step 12

  • Unsnap the hinge cover.
  • Unplug the cables.
  • Slide the LCD cable through the hinge.
