Most of our orders are from repeat customers. Parts-People began as a small company 20 years ago in an extra bedroom of my house. I had saved a small sum of money to purchase some computer parts and began selling them on eBay. After a few months I realized that people needed a place to go for Dell parts so I began building our website. Since we are located in Austin, Texas, where Dell.com was founded, I was able to set up a solid supply line with Dell. From the start, we focused on customer satisfaction and selling quality parts. We have grown a lot since 2002 but still and always the customer will come first. You will find that we go above and beyond with every order and offer free resources and support before and after the sale.

After the success of last year’s Latitude 13 for Education series, Dell has unveiled a new fleet of education-centric devices this week, built to be durable and serve the purpose of learning in a classroom environment. The device generating perhaps the most buzz is their Latitude 11 Education Series laptop, “the most secure, manageable and reliable education solution available”, according to Dell.
The Latitude 11 provides an 11.6-inch touch or non-touch display with Corning Gorilla Glass and is touted as being “schoolyard tough”. This doesn’t officially put it into the ruggedized category, but it does mean that it goes through similar testing. Just like the new Chromebook 11, the Latitude 11 Education laptop was subjected to MIL-STD 810G testing for pressure, temperature, shock and vibration. It was able to pass this rigorous series of tests with the help of rubberized trim to help absorb shock when dropped as well as a fully sealed trackpad and keyboard which make it resistant to water damage from spills.
Continuing with the theme of rugged functionality, the Latitude 11 features a 180-degree hinge so that it can lay flat on your desk if need be. It will run Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 and is equipped with an Intel Celeron N2840 dual-core processor and supported by up to 4GB of RAM along with 250GB of internal storage. For additional classroom monitoring, the laptop comes with a rear network activity light that will glow when students are connected to the network. Dell hopes that this will make it easier for teachers to know if a student is online when they shouldn’t be. Battery life is estimated to be around ten hours, so students shouldn’t have any issues making this durable little laptop last an entire school day. Plus, at just under three pounds, it should be pretty easy to tote through the halls between classes.
The Latitude 11 Education Series will be available for purchase starting March 3rd, 2015 without a touchscreen, and prices will start at $299 for qualified education customers. Dell says the touchscreen version should be available in late June 2015; no details on pricing or exact specs for the touchscreen laptop have been released as of yet.
