I had saved a small sum of money to purchase some computer parts and began selling them on eBay. After a few months I realized that people needed a place to go for Dell parts so I began building our website. Since we are located in Austin, Texas, where Dell.com was founded, I was able to set up a solid supply line with Dell. From the start, we focused on customer satisfaction and selling quality parts. In all seriousness, however, just how intricate does a mouse have to be? I know gaming mice, in all their extra bells and whistles, can be beneficial to a gaming sesh; but what about the rest of us? If you're a multi-tasker, a good mouse can make all the difference. Let's think about what a state-of-the-art mouse, like Logitech's new MX Master Wireless Mouse, can do for our lives.
Customizable. Versatility. Control. Precision. Speed. That is all fancy-talk for what this mouse can apparently do. It can control various computers, devices, and operating systems, supports track pad features (via Logitech's Darkfield Laser feature), and its many buttons and wheels are well positioned. According to Market Watch, it's speed-adaptive scroll wheel allows for auto-shifting, and different scroll speeds. For slow speeds, a nice “click click” feeling gives you some haptic feedback, and to scroll faster, simple flick the wheel and it will let loose, spinning freely (Wired). It's thumbwheel allows for side-to-side scrolling and page switching, or, you can program it to do anything you want (just like all the buttons on the mouse). Along the same side lives another set of buttons, including a scrolling button for large photos or excel sheets, or switching between pages.
It's wireless, of course, but has an added feature for connecting up to three different devices at once, which you can then switch to and fro. It uses either Bluetooth or Logitech's proprietary “unifying receiver” that comes with it. Programming each button is done via Logitech preferences for Windows or OS X. The MX Master runs for 40 days on a full charge, and only requires a few minutes of charging to work again for the rest of the day. The cost is $99, and availability starts this April.
