The Tri-Finned Trinity PC from CyberPower- There’s Method Behind This Madness

TrinityPcI don't know if the look of the Trinity PC is something to gawk over in a good way or a bad way. At first glance, it's certainly one of the strangest looking PCs you've ever seen. Maybe it's meant to be part of your home decor? Maybe there's method and function to its tri-finned shapes. CyberPower, a mid-sized PC manufacturer that custom builds all types of systems, “somewhat admits” that the Trinity is a bit of a case study. But, there is definitely a method to the madness of the design, and it all has to do with three distinct performance blades.

TrinityPc1The purpose of the triple blade arrangement is to separate the three largest and hottest parts of the PC- the CPU, performance (graphics), and storage into their own “blades”. That way, they each have their own facilitated cooling systems and individual components that, if needed, could be switched out without affecting the others (Slash Gear). Inside an entry-level configuration, the Trinity 100, runs an AMD A10 CPU, has 8GB of RAM, a 120 GB SSD, a 1 TB spinning drive, as well as a GeForce GTX750Ti graphics card. Higher-end models may include an Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, higher GeForce graphics, or, if you insist on premium, the Titan X card (Engadget).

TrinityPc2Whether you enjoy the look of the three fins or not, the point is more about thermal management than impressing your love for design. Either way, the Trinity will most definitely be turning heads, even if it means in confusion. The starting price for the Trinity 100 is $995, while the Intel Core i7 model mentioned will ring in at a whopping $1,795.
