The Acer Aspire One Cloudbooks aren’t going to be winning any speed or performance awards any time soon, but they will easily get you through a day of e-mails, web surfing and document creation without breaking a sweat, and at a fraction of the price you’d pay for most laptops. Both the 11- and 14-inch models (whose screen size matches their name) feature1.6GHz Intel Celeron processors, 2GB of RAM, 1,366 x 768 screen resolutions and full-size keyboards. The Cloudbook 11 is available with a meager 16GB or 32GB of storage, while the 14-inch model is equipped with either 32GB or 64GB. They do both seem to have just the right amount of connectivity for their level of functionality, and include ports for USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI, 802.11ac, and an SD expansion slot. And to enhance the relationship between the user and Windows 10’s Cortana, both models come with dual digital microphones with “enhanced digital signal processing (DSP)” to help eliminate background noise. Plus, at only 17.9mm thick and boasting a 6-7 hour battery life, these little Cloudbooks make it super easy to take them wherever you go.

The Cloudbook 11 will be available for purchase later this month, with the 14 hitting shelves in September.
