Most of our orders are from repeat customers. Parts-People began as a small company 20 years ago in an extra bedroom of my house. I had saved a small sum of money to purchase some computer parts and began selling them on eBay. After a few months I realized that people needed a place to go for Dell parts so I began building our website. Since we are located in Austin, Texas, where Dell.com was founded, I was able to set up a solid supply line with Dell. From the start, we focused on customer satisfaction and selling quality parts. We have grown a lot since 2002 but still and always the customer will come first. You will find that we go above and beyond with every order and offer free resources and support before and after the sale.

LG has been showing off its love for the Internet of Things (IoT) a lot lately, and we're expecting to see the unveiling of some new devices at this year's 2015 IFA Conference. Along with the release of a smart oven and smart air conditioner, LG wants to give you the option of skipping out on purchasing a super fancy internet-ready appliance. The LG SmartThinQ Sensor is meant to transform your old/current appliances into smart, internet-ready devices. That's right, if you were thinking of swapping out your old refrigerator for something smarter, just swap out that idea and get the SmartThinQ Sensor for a similar upgrade.
The puck-shaped device works by sticking to the machine and delivering “basic status updates” about it over the internet. It does this by harboring its own set of sensors, which can detect motion (good for alerting you when your wash cycle is done) and temperature changes (to alert you of a food in the fridge that is about to expire). Like most smart hubs, the SmartThinQ is controlled via smartphone app, where it sends you updates, and gives you remote control of certain devices (Tech Hive).
The LG SmartThinQ technology also works with other appliances, like air conditioners, dryers, ovens, and more. LG's CEO and President, Jo Seong-jin says, “LG is committed to continuing its leadership in the smart home market with innovations such as the LG SmartThinQ, which provides real-life benefits and offers new lifestyle conveniences through technology that is easy to use”. Until recently, people have not been so open to adopting the smart home lifestyle (due to the small niche market, and high price, where these types of devices live). Luckily, this is changing as the current technology starts to take shortcuts similar to what LG is doing. If you want to be particularly modest with your upgrade, this smart sensor does you a lot of good without having to spend thousands on smart appliances.
