Most of our orders are from repeat customers. Parts-People began as a small company 20 years ago in an extra bedroom of my house. I had saved a small sum of money to purchase some computer parts and began selling them on eBay. After a few months I realized that people needed a place to go for Dell parts so I began building our website. Since we are located in Austin, Texas, where Dell.com was founded, I was able to set up a solid supply line with Dell. From the start, we focused on customer satisfaction and selling quality parts. We have grown a lot since 2002 but still and always the customer will come first. You will find that we go above and beyond with every order and offer free resources and support before and after the sale.

I love comparing Chromebooks, but even more fun is talking about a new 2-in-1 Chromebook, dubbed the Chromebook Flip C302CA by Asus. A lot of devices from Asus this past month, as the company is really working at providing enough variety to its customers. Some have been super low in price, others, such as this lovely Chromebook we’re about to discuss, is not only considered to fall nearly within the premium category, but is attached to a palatable price of just $499.
Boasting some lovely materials, let’s get right to it, because we can already tell this particular Chromebook is going to be a competitive one. Right off the bat, this new model offers up to 8GB of RAM, paired with 64GB of storage. This is a good thing since most Chromebooks offered are usually 4GB/64GB in the grade of RAM and storage levels, respectively. Offered inside is Intel’s Core M7 chipset (optional Core M3 to M7, which alters price of course), significant when dealing with not only the slimmer devices, but definitely classier than most Core M3’s seen in weaker models almost everywhere.
This lovely device, all brushed and enclosed with aluminum, measures in at just half an inch thick, and weighs in at barely 2.5 pounds. The 12.5-inch Chromebook has a max display resolution of 2400 x 1350. You definitely do not need to go that extreme, but it’s there if you are in the mood for some super hero-ish vision. The tablet is of course a convertible, and there’s a nice magnet in the base of the screen that allows ease when securing it into tablet mode, just by gently rotating it on its hinges.
Other important factoids include an 7-8 hour battery life on one charge when doing heavy work, and a whopping 10 hours on lighter days. Its USB Type-C port is there for you to charge the device, and it comes with one on each side for transferring as well. There’s also a microSD card slot for expandable storage. Ports may be on the minimal side, but this is enough for most folks needs, considering we’re dealing with the Chrome OS. Also, Type-C ports only assist in the sleekness of the model, allowing it to be as thin as it is, while offering fast transfer speeds under certain conditions.
Surely the Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA isn’t the fanciest named laptops coming out, but the attention-grabbing happens once you open up the device and realize what you’re working with. Its specifications offer some pretty good competition to Samsung’s new Chromebooks, the Chromebook Plus and Pro, which are convertible devices launched in February with starting prices at just $449. However, this model from Asus is a great new machine with a good amount of RAM, something a little bit hard to find as an offering in the lower-priced categories. It’s fast enough for most tasks done on a Chromebook, not to mention other things you might not always do on Chromebooks, such as edit photos. Take those Core M3-M7 offerings, and you can have 15 or so tabs open, including your favorite web apps on the Chrome OS, and most likely see nothing in the form of lag. What’s not to love?
