  • 1 x small phillips head screwdriver
  • 1 x small plastic scribe

Installation and Removal Instructions
Chromebook 13-8820 (P80G002) Palmrest Keyboard

Peel off screw covers and loosen captive screws .

Step 1

  • Peel off screw covers and loosen captive screws .
  • Remove base cover.

Remove battery screws (4 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 2

  • Remove battery screws (4 x M2 x 3mm).
  • Disconnect and remove Battery.
Remove battery screws (4 x M2 x 3mm).Disconnect and remove Battery.Remove battery screws (4 x M2 x 3mm).
Unscrew and disconnect cooling fan (2 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 3

  • Unscrew and disconnect cooling fan (2 x M2 x 3mm).
Unscrew and disconnect cooling fan (2 x M2 x 3mm).Unscrew and disconnect cooling fan (2 x M2 x 3mm).Unscrew and disconnect cooling fan (2 x M2 x 3mm).
Disconnect and remove speakers.

Step 4

  • Disconnect and remove speakers.

Unscrew and disconnect audio circuit board (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 5

  • Unscrew and disconnect audio circuit board (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Disconnect motherboard cables.

Step 6

  • Disconnect motherboard cables.
Unscrew and remove bracket (1 x M2.5 x 5mm).

Step 7

Unscrew and remove bracket (1 x M2.5 x 5mm).Unscrew and remove bracket (1 x M2.5 x 5mm).
Unscrew and remove cable bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 8

  • Unscrew and remove cable bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).
Unscrew and remove cable bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).Unscrew and remove cable bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).
Disconnect display cables.

Step 9

  • Disconnect display cables.
  • Unscrew and remove display assembly (3 x M2.5 x 5mm).
Disconnect display cables.Unscrew and remove display assembly (3 x M2.5 x 5mm).Disconnect display cables.
Unscrew and remove motherboard (5 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 10

  • Unscrew and remove motherboard (5 x M2 x 3mm).
Unscrew and remove motherboard (5 x M2 x 3mm).Unscrew and remove motherboard (5 x M2 x 3mm).Unscrew and remove motherboard (5 x M2 x 3mm).
The remaining piece is the palmrest keyboard.

Step 11

  • The remaining piece is the palmrest keyboard.
