Installation and Removal Instructions
Inspiron 15-3551 (P47F002) Bottom Base

Unlock the battery.

Step 1

  • Unlock the battery.
  • Lift the Battery out of the laptop.

Remove the 2 - M2.5 x 5mm screws.

Step 2

Remove the 2 - M2.5 x 5mm screws.Pry up and remove the Access Door.Remove the 2 - M2.5 x 5mm screws.Remove the 2 - M2.5 x 5mm screws.
Unplug the antenna cables.

Step 3

Unplug the antenna cables.Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.Remove the Wireless WLAN Card.
Unplug the cable.

Step 4

Unplug the cable.Remove the 4 - M2.5 x 5mm screws.Remove the Hard Drive.
Unplug the speaker cable.

Step 5

  • Unplug the speaker cable.
Remove the 1 - M2.5 x 2.5mm Wafer screw.

Step 6

Remove the 1 - M2.5 x 2.5mm Wafer screw.Remove the 9 - M2.5 x 5mm screws.
Press in the keyboard latches and loosen the keyboard.

Step 7

  • Press in the keyboard latches and loosen the keyboard.

Unplug the keyboard cable.

Step 8

  • Unplug the keyboard cable.
  • Remove the Keyboard.

Unplug the power button cable.

Step 9

  • Unplug the power button cable.
  • Unplug the touchpad cable.
  • Remove the 7 - M2.5 x 5mm screws.

Carefully unsnap & remove the Palmrest Touchpad.

Step 10

Unplug the cable.

Step 11

  • Unplug the cable.
  • Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.
Unplug the cable.Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.
Remove the USB Circuit Board.

Step 12

Remove the USB Circuit Board.Remove the USB Circuit Board.
Remove the Speakers.

Step 13

Loosen the display cable tape.

Step 14

  • Loosen the display cable tape.
  • Unplug the display cable.

Unplug the USB circuit board cable.

Step 15

  • Unplug the USB circuit board cable.
  • Unplug the DC jack cable.
Unplug the USB circuit board cable.Unplug the DC jack cable.
Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.

Step 16

  • Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.
  • Remove the motherboard.
Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.Remove the motherboard.
Loosen the display cable.

Step 17

  • Loosen the display cable.
  • Loosen the antenna cables.

Remove the 2 - M2.5 x 5mm left hinge screws.

Step 18

Remove the 2 - M2.5 x 5mm left hinge screws.Remove the 1 - M2.5 x 5mm right hinge screw.Remove the LCD Display Assembly.
Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.

Step 19

Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.Remove the DC Jack.
The remaining piece is the Bottom Base.
