  • 1 x small phillips head screwdriver
  • 1 x small flat head screwdriver
  • 1 x plastic scribe (optional)

Installation and Removal Instructions
Inspiron 15 N5050 (P18F003) LCD Screen

Slide the locking latch over.

Step 1

  • Slide the locking latch over.
  • Slide the battery latch to the left and the Battery out.

Under the battery, remove the hinge cover screw.

Step 2

  • Under the battery, remove the hinge cover screw.
Carefully loosen the hinge cover clips.

Step 3

  • Carefully loosen the hinge cover clips.
  • Using a scribe or a flat head screw driver, carefully pry up the Hinge Cover.

Remove the 11 bottom palmrest screws.

Step 4

  • Remove the 11 bottom palmrest screws.
  • Remove the 2 bottom hinge screws.

Turn the laptop over and open it up.

Step 5

  • Turn the laptop over and open it up.
  • Press in the 4 keyboard clips to loosen the Keyboard.
Carefully lift the keyboard and turn it over.

Step 6

  • Carefully lift the keyboard and turn it over.
  • Unplug the keyboard cable.
  • Unplug and loosen the antenna cables.

Loosen the 2 top palmrest screws. You will not be able to remove them completely.

Step 7

  • Loosen the 2 top palmrest screws. You will not be able to remove them completely.
Unplug the 2 palmrest cables.

Step 8

  • Unplug the 2 palmrest cables.
  • Carefully unsnap and lift off the palmrest.
Unplug and loosen the LCD Cable.

Step 9

Remove the 4 hinge screws.

Step 10

  • Remove the 4 hinge screws.
  • Lift the screen away from the laptop base.
Carefully lift the edge and unsnap the LCD Bezel.

Step 11

  • Carefully lift the edge and unsnap the LCD Bezel.
Loosen the LCD cable from the routing channels on the left hinge.

Step 12

  • Loosen the LCD cable from the routing channels on the left hinge.
  • Loosen the antenna cables from the routing channels on the right hinge.
Loosen the LCD cable from the routing channels on the left hinge.Loosen the antenna cables from the routing channels on the right hinge.
Unplug the Web Camera.

Step 13

Remove the 6 screws that hold the screen to the back assembly.

Step 14

  • Remove the 6 screws that hold the screen to the back assembly.
  • Carefully lift the screen out of the back assembly and turn it over.
Unplug the ribbon cable.

Step 15

  • Unplug the ribbon cable.
Remove the 2 screws on the Hinge Rail.

Step 16

  • Remove the 2 screws on the Hinge Rail.
  • Remove the 2 screws on the left hinge rail.
