Installation and Removal Instructions
Vostro 2421 (P37G001) LCD Cable

Slide the latches over to unlock the battery.

Step 1

  • Slide the latches over to unlock the battery.

Remove the Battery.

Step 2

Remove the optical drive screw.

Step 3

  • Remove the optical drive screw.
  • Slide the optical drive out.
  • Remove the DVD Optical Drive.

Remove the screw.

Step 4

Remove the screw.Remove the Access Door.Remove the screw.
Remove the screw.

Step 5

  • Remove the screw.
  • Using the tab, slide the hard drive to the left.
  • Remove the Hard Drive.

Remove the bottom keyboard screws.

Step 6

  • Remove the bottom keyboard screws.
  • Remove the bottom palmrest screws.
  • Turn the laptop over & open it up.

Press the keyboard tabs in to loosen the keyboard.

Step 7

  • Press the keyboard tabs in to loosen the keyboard.

Unplug the keyboard cable.

Step 8

  • Unplug the keyboard cable.
  • Remove the Keyboard.

Unplug the palmrest cables.

Step 9

  • Unplug the palmrest cables.
  • Remove the palmrest screws.

Carefully unsnap and remove the Keyboard.

Step 10

  • Carefully unsnap and remove the Keyboard.

Unplug & loosen the LCD Cable.

Step 11

Unplug & loosen the LCD Cable.Unplug & loosen the LCD Cable.
Unplug & loosen the DC Jack.

Step 12

Unplug & loosen the DC Jack.Unplug & loosen the DC Jack.
Unplug the USB cable.

Step 13

  • Unplug the USB cable.
  • Unplug the speaker cable.

Remove the motherboard screw.

Step 14

Remove the motherboard screw.Remove the Motherboard.
Loosen the antenna cables.

Step 15

  • Loosen the antenna cables.
Remove the left & right hinge screws.

Step 16

Remove the left & right hinge screws.Remove the Display Assembly.Remove the left & right hinge screws.
Unsnap the Hinge Covers.

Step 17

Unsnap the Hinge Covers.Unsnap the Hinge Covers.
Carefully unsnap the bezel, working your way around the edge of the screen.

Step 18

  • Carefully unsnap the bezel, working your way around the edge of the screen.
  • Remove the LCD Bezel

Loosen the tape.

Step 19

  • Loosen the tape.
  • Unplug the cable.

Remove the Web Camera.

Step 20

Remove the screws.

Step 21

  • Remove the screws.
  • Remove the Hinges.

Step 22

  • Remove the screws.
  • Lift the screen and turn it over.

Unplug the LCD cable.

Unplug the LCD cable.Remove the LCD Screen.
Loosen the tape.

Step 24
