In this Dell laptop tutorial we are going to show you how to install and replace the DC Jack on your Vostro 2521 laptop. These installation instructions have be made into 11 easy to follow printable steps. We have also create a video tutorial that shows you how to install your Vostro 2521 DC Jack.

  • 1 x small phillips head screwdriver
  • 1 x small plastic scribe

Installation and Removal Instructions
Vostro 2521 DC Jack

Slide the latches over to unlock the battery.

Step 1

  • Slide the latches over to unlock the battery.

Remove the Battery.

Step 2

Remove the screw.

Step 3

Remove the screw.Remove the Access Door.Remove the screw.

Step 4

  • Remove the screw.
  • Using the tab, slide the hard drive to the left.
  • Remove the Hard Drive.

Remove the bottom keyboard screws.

Step 5

  • Remove the bottom keyboard screws.
  • Remove the bottom palmrest screws.
  • Turn the laptop over & open it up.

Press the keyboard tabs in to loosen the keyboard.

Step 6

  • Press the keyboard tabs in to loosen the keyboard.

Unplug the keyboard cable.

Step 7

  • Unplug the keyboard cable.
  • Remove the Keyboard.

Unplug the palmrest cables.

Step 8

  • Unplug the palmrest cables.
  • Remove the palmrest screws.
Unplug the palmrest cables.Remove the palmrest screws.
Carefully unsnap and remove the Palmrest Touchpad.

Unplug & loosen the LCD cable.

Step 10

  • Unplug & loosen the LCD cable.
