Installation and Removal Instructions

Step 2
- Unscrew the Bottom Base Cover (8 x captive screws).
- Use a plastic scribe to pry apart and remove the Bottom Base Cover.
Step 4
- Disconnect the CMOS Battery.
Step 6
- Unscrew and remove the Battery (1 x captive screw).
Step 7
- Pull the locking tabs outwardly to release the RAM/Memory.
- Slide out the RAM/Memory.
Step 8
- Unscrew and remove the SSD bracket (3 x captive screws).
- Slide out the M.2 NVMe SSD.
Step 9
- Unscrew and remove the WiFi bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).
- Disconnect the antenna cables.
- Slide out the WiFi Card.
Step 10
- Unscrew and remove the LCD cable bracket (1 x 2mm x 2.5mm).
- Disconnect the LCD cables.
Step 11
- Unscrew and remove the WWAN cable brackets (2 x M2 x 3mm).
Step 13
- Unsnap the locking tab and disconnect the LED cable.
Step 14
- Unsnap the locking tab and disconnect the touchpad cable.
Step 17
- BEFORE REPLACING THE HEATSINK: Wipe away any old thermal paste.
Step 18
- NOTE: For maximum cooling of the processor, do not touch the heat transfer areas on the heatsink/CPU. The oils in your skin can reduce the heat transfer capability of the thermal grease.
