Installation and Removal Instructions

Before you begin: If you need help at any point, you can always contact Parts-People Repair Department for help with your diagnosis or repair.

Step 1

Unscrew the Bottom Base Cover (8 x captive screws).

Step 2

  • Unscrew the Bottom Base Cover (8 x captive screws).
  • Use a plastic scribe to pry apart and remove the Bottom Base Cover.

Disconnect the Battery.

Step 3

Unscrew and remove the Battery (4 x captive screws).

Step 4

  • Unscrew and remove the Battery (4 x captive screws).

Disconnect the speaker cables.

Step 5

  • Disconnect the speaker cables.

Unscrew and remove the SSD cover (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 6

  • Unscrew and remove the SSD cover (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Unscrew and remove the WiFi bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 7

  • Unscrew and remove the WiFi bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).
  • Disconnect the antenna cables.

Unscrew and remove the WWAN bracket (2 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 8

  • Unscrew and remove the WWAN bracket (2 x M2 x 3mm).
  • Disconnect the fan cable.
  • Unscrew and remove the cooling fan.

Unscrew and remove the LCD cable brackets (4 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 9

  • Unscrew and remove the LCD cable brackets (4 x M2 x 3mm).
  • Disconnect LCD cables.

Unsnap the locking tab and disconnect the touchpad cable.

Step 10

  • Unsnap the locking tab and disconnect the touchpad cable.

Unsnap the locking tab and disconnect the USH cable.

Step 11

  • Unsnap the locking tab and disconnect the USH cable.

Disconnect the power button cable.

Step 12

  • Disconnect the power button cable.

Unscrew and remove the Motherboard (3 x M2 x 4mm).

Step 13

  • Unscrew and remove the Motherboard (3 x M2 x 4mm).

Unscrew and remove the power button (2 x 1.2mm x 1.5mm).

Step 14

  • Unscrew and remove the power button (2 x 1.2mm x 1.5mm).
  • ***FOLLOW THE ORIGINAL STEPS IN REVERSE TO REASSEMBLE YOUR LAPTOP.
