Installation and Removal Instructions
Inspiron 16 Plus 7630 Palmrest Keyboard Assembly

Before you begin: If you need help at any point, you can always contact Parts-People Repair Department for help with your diagnosis or repair.

Step 1

Unscrew the Bottom Base Cover (7 x

  • Unscrew the Bottom Base Cover (7 x M2 x 3mm) (2 x captive screws).
  • Use a plastic scribe to pry apart and remove the Bottom Base Cover.

Disconnect the Battery.

Unscrew and remove the WiFi bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).

Step 4

  • Unscrew and remove the WiFi bracket (1 x M2 x 3mm).
  • Disconnect the antenna cables.
  • Slide out the WiFi Card.

Unclip the locking tab and disconnect the I/O board cable.

  • Unclip the locking tab and disconnect the I/O board cable.

Disconnect the speaker cables.

Step 9

  • Disconnect the speaker cables.

Unclip the locking tab and disconnect the LCD cable.

Unscrew the left and right LCD hinges (4 x 2.5mm x 5.5mm).

  • Unscrew the left and right LCD hinges (4 x 2.5mm x 5.5mm).
  • Open the LCD Display Assembly and separate it from the Palmrest.

Remove the DC Jack.

Step 14

Disconnect the right cooling fan.
