Installation and Removal Instructions
Alienware x17 R2 LCD Display Assembly
Step 1
- Before you begin: If you need help at any point, you can always contact Parts-People Repair Department for help with your diagnosis or repair.
Step 2
- TOOLS FOR THIS REPAIR: Phillips #0 Screwdriver and a Plastic Scribe.
- Unscrew the bottom base cover (2 X 2.5mm x 9mm) (4 X captive screws) (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).
- Pry apart and remove the Bottom Base Cover.

Step 3
- Disconnect the Battery Cable.
Step 4
- Disconnect the DC Jack cable.
Step 5
- Unclip the locking tab and disconnect the left and right LED cables.

Step 6
- Peel back the adhesive covering.
- Unclip the locking tab and disconnect the camera cable.
 
|
Step 8
- Peel back the adhesive cover.
- Unclip the locking tab and disconnect the display cable.

Step 9
- Unscrew the left and right LCD hinges from the bottom side (4 x M2.5 x 5mm).
- Unscrew the left and right LCD hinges from the top side (4 x M2.5 x 5mm).

Step 10
- Remove the LCD Display Assembly.
- ***FOLLOW THE ORIGINAL STEPS IN REVERSE TO REASSEMBLE YOUR LAPTOP.
